Performed by MBdance in collaboration with a Digital Media Artist and Drexel University’s Dance Department,Womb: The Black Wealth Project—The Activation was presented at the Pearlstein Gallery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a collaboration between Drexel University’s Digital Media Department, Dance Department, and MBdance. The project featured interactive installations that translated bodily movement and sound into real-time digital visuals, creating an immersive environment shaped by performance, participation, and sensory exchange. One installation employed motion capture to transform participants’ movements into screen-based visual expression, while another used sound-driven interaction to generate visuals through vocal and sonic input. By linking body, voice, and digital image, the project framed Black wealth not only as material value, but as embodied inheritance, cultural memory, creativity, and presence.
